Pratisandhi started as a response to the dilapidated conditions of sexual health awareness in India, especially among the sexually active youth community. It is an initiative that aims to provide the youth with a safe space in a society that tends to pander to behavior according to conservative and personal morals. We believe that it is essential for adolescents to be able to question the beliefs they are led to believe as children. We want to create a difference through the means of educating our youth in a manner through which they can become self-aware individuals who can make smarter decisions.
We believe that everyone has the right to have access to information free from judgment in a manner that helps them understand the choices available to them.
The members, volunteers, and any other parties associated with Pratisandhi or any of its regional chapters do not claim to have legally recognized qualifications or authority to offer diagnosis or medical advice of any nature.
We act as guides and supporters to those who may reach out to us. While we try our level best to ensure that all knowledge imparted during any activity of Pratisandhi is factually accurate and suitable for our audience, for which we have medical professionals on our board, our services are offered in good faith and any advice or instruction provided in any interaction should not be considered a substitute for professional advice. It is always better to take the help of doctors, gynecologists, or relevant medical professionals; we can only help guide you to a certain extent or connect you with a professional.
All donation drives conducted by Pratisandhi are in kind only. No monetary donations are accepted by any representative of Pratisandhi, or it’s regional chapters for any purpose. Any person who donates any amount to Pratisandhi has the right to know where their donations were sent and may send an email requesting this information if they so desire.
Pratisandhi does not in any way promote or encourage promiscuous behavior among our audience, especially minors and is purely a knowledge-oriented initiative. We do not accept any responsibility for the consequences of a client’s use of our services — either beneficial or otherwise. In no event shall Pratisandhi or its members be liable to any person(s) for loss or damage of any kind, which may occur as a result of our services. Please note that Pratisandhi requires all people, including schools and any other party we provide services to, to read the above Disclaimer. An individual, organization, or institution’s willingness to participate in any interaction or activity will be taken to mean that they have read, understood, and accepted every clause of the above disclaimer.
