Advitya Sirohi is a Psychology student as well as an enthusiast, who has been associated with Pratisandhi since July 2019. He vehemently works for the betterment of various communities, usually shunned and thrown in the dark by the society. With nonchalance and unprecedented enthusiasm, he is always on the lookout for opportunities where he can bring to light issues which require due attention by the society , these include the LGBTQIA+ community, women’s rights, sexual education, anti-ableism and mental health. He actively participates and shows interest in blog writing, volunteering at children’s NGOs, platforms to learn more about the gender and sexuality spectrum, laws pertaining to citizen rights, content research and consumption etc. He plans on pursuing his masters in clinical psychology. His altruism and focused approach gives him the courage and confidence to stand his ground and educate others on topics which are deemed important in these times like empathy, stereotypes in regards to gender, sexuality and clothing, constructs like femininity and masculinity, mental health issues etc. As the Volunteer Coordinator at Pratisandhi, oversees all the operations that occur across all departments and to assist in carrying them out in the most optimal manner and also to ensure that a safe and positive work environment is created for all to be able to express themselves and work at their best.
